Alycat's Walkabout bio picture

Conservation Volunteers of Australia

The countdown to Alycat’s Walkabout is in full swing: four months to go! While it is easy to get caught up in the excitement of spending five weeks in one of the most unique places on Earth, it is important to me to keep the mission of this trip at the forefront. At the heart of Alycat’s Walkabout is the desire to help organizations around the world in their efforts to promote the use and protection of our incredible outdoor resources. Over the course of the next few months, I will be highlighting all of the groups we will be working with during the walkabout. We want our followers to know and understand what makes each organization special and why we have chosen to partner with them.

Is there something that I could leave behind and save valuable luggage space for something else? So here is what I have so far. View full post »

When I look back at my 20s, I accomplished a lot of great things and had a ton of fun along the way. I graduated college, married my best friend, built a house and started a business. Yeah, I crammed a lot into those 10 years. Not a minute was wasted (ok, maybe a few minutes were wasted on afternoon naps, but hey, we all need that at some point. Some just a little more than others). Needless to say, it is a great chapter of my life that has sadly come to an end, but where one ends, a new one begins.

Chris Pappas - What a fantastic geographic journey to begin and what a great time in your life to start it. I have traveled some in my life and only regret that I did not start sooner. Now is the time to pull the trigger on a dream like this. What a Great Adventure! Enjoy.
